For many of us, the combination of rapidly changing climates and the tragic loss of critical habitat and key species has opened our awareness of our profound disconnection from the natural world, while also recognizing the impact of this disconnect on the Earth’s ecosystems we inhabit. Consequently, humans have operated like we are above and separate from the natural world thus disrupting ecosystems and causing great harm.
The Kindred Podcast was born from a deep desire to explore the intricate and interdependent relationship that humans have with animals and nature. In a time of swiftly evolving climates and systems that threaten the keepers of the world's health and balance, Kindred embarked on a journey to rekindle our connection to the Earth, particularly to our fellow animals and ecosystems.
Every episode presents compelling interviews and thought-provoking discussions with leading experts from diverse fields of study including scientists, conservationists, authors, and educators. From the world of science to cultural traditions and beyond, Kindred examines how we can inspire a new awareness, perspective, and experience in order to reconnect us to the natural world.
Kindred is more than a podcast—it's a space where we immerse ourselves in the reciprocal connection shared between humans, animals, and nature.
